"Never A Prosecutor, Dedicated to representing Citizens accused." Erick Platten
Erick Platten is an experienced Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer committed to representing persons charged with any and all Criminal offenses, whether misdemeanors or major felonies, in all Texas courts. His principle office is in Tyler, Texas but he has represented individuals as far away as Key West, Florida.
Erick defends persons charged of all crimes including those in the Judicial District and County Court's throughout Texas. Erick Platten also focuses his practice on intoxication crimes and has won cases many lawyers wouldn’t accept because they thought they were impossible to win.
Erick tirelessly looks at each case to find problems with the State’s case to obtain either a dismissal, reduction in charges or ultimately a Not Guilty verdict. Erick always says "talk is cheap but Not Guilty verdicts speak for themselves."
One very difficult case Erick took to trial was the State of Texas v. Howard Fink. District Attorney’s couldn’t believe Erick was able to convince a Smith County Jury that his clients medical condition with his liver caused him to have hallucinations. That Defense was know as a “Big Mac Attack” and gained Erick national attention from Fox, CNN and ABC News Networks since his client was accused of firing an AR-15 at hallucinations he believed were "Rats" attacking his family and friends around a campfire. State of Texas vs. Howard Fink in the 114th Judicial District Court in and for the State of Texas, Smith County Texas, 114-1448-01. Verdict of Not Guilty.
If you or a loved one has been charged with a crime you need to speak with an attorney that knows his way around the system. Erick Platten has been representing citizens accused since 2000.
